Wagner General Contractors, Inc. was incorporated in May 2001 as a general contracting company by Allen and Lisa Wagner in response to Allen’s desire to be employed by an organization that focuses on putting client’s and employee’s needs above those of the company and its owners. At Wagner General, we do just that. We believe that honesty and integrity in every aspect of our business and our lives is the key to true success. We gauge our success not on the amount of money we earn but on the satisfaction of our clients and their desire to work with us again or to recommend us to others.

Wagner General Contractors officially began operations in August 2001, just before our country fell under attack in September. During the months that followed, we struggled through just as people and businesses all across the country did. The Lord blessed us with work and with the right employees so that our company continued to grow and succeed during some very tough times.

Our Memphis Team

Lisa Wagner

CFO

Lisa is a 1987 graduate of Harding University, earning a degree in Business Management. She has worked in the construction industry for several years. Lisa specializes in bookkeeping, insurance, accounting, payroll and any other office related tasks.

Prior to the start of Wagner General, Lisa was an insurance agent for Morton Insurance for nine years. Her responsibilities included claims, sales, bookkeeping, payroll and customer service.

Allen Wagner

President

Allen is a 1987 graduate of Harding University with a degree in Marketing. He has worked in the construction industry for over 30 years, including the past 20 years as an Estimator and Project Manager on all types of projects including schools, churches, doctor’s office buildings, banks and parks.

Allen is the President and Senior Estimator for Wagner General and is responsible for overseeing all estimating, marketing of new clients, directing all field operations, and ensuring quality control.

Chad Phillips

Estimator/Project Manager, Vice President

Chad is a 1990 graduate of Craigmont High School. He started in the company as the Field Operations Manager which include labor organization, equipment placing and tool distribution. He then was promoted to Estimator/Project Manager and moved into the office from the field. Chad, in his spare time, enjoys hiking, fishing and working with the youth in his church.

Dennis Allen

Estimator/Project Manager

A magna cum laude graduate of Southwest Tennessee Community College with a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Dennis brings over 30 years experience in the engineering and construction fields. His past experience as a steel detailer, chief draftsman and head designer allow him to understand projects from design concept to finished product.

Dennis is a project manager and estimator for Wagner General and is responsible for oversight, estimating, contract administration and coordination of subcontractors.

Sandra Wright

Construction Administrator

Sandra has over 18 years of experience in the construction industry. She has been the office manager for Wagner for 14 years and was recently promoted to Construction Administrator. Her job includes: contract administration, overseeing daily operations, safety evaluation and estimating/project managing support. She is highly competent in all aspects of construction documentation, contract procedures and compliance.

Linda Bird

Office Manager

Linda was the Salutatorian of her high school graduating class in Rochester, PA. She has been employed in various administrative positions during her career, including work in an engineering firm in the Pittsburgh area. Over the past 20 years she was Executive Assistant & Associate at a multi-discipline engineering/architecture firm in the Memphis area. She joined Wagner General Contractors in April 2018 as Office Manager. She also assists estimators/project managers in all aspects of the bid process.

Jordan Price

Buyer

Jordan Price is a graduate of the University of Memphis with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations. She has worked in the construction industry since 2015. Jordan’s role is sourcing the best pricing and availability for materials, tools, and equipment. She also serves as assistant to the project managers, helping with tasks such as submittals and obtaining permits.

Jason McNatt

Field Operations

Jason attended Northwest Community College where he studied computer science. Jason is responsible for equipment placing and tool distribution. He also has the responsibility of inventory and repairing all tools and equipment. Jason is a volunteer Firefighter and Emergency Medical Responder. He is certified in advanced first aid.

Allen Poff

General Superintendent

Allen is a 2002 graduate of Christian Brothers University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He has over 20 years’ experience in both residential and commercial construction. Allen was a self-employed residential framing and roofing contractor before hiring on at Wagner General in 2005. He has a working knowledge of all phases of construction from remodeling to starting from the ground up. Allen has supervised numerous government, education and retail projects. He is responsible for all of the superintendents.

Harper Wagner

Estimator/Project Manager

Harper is a 2016 graduate of Arlington High School. He went on to graduate from The Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in 2019. He started with the company in 2012 working in the field for two summers, then in 2019 he rejoined the team as an Estimator/Project Manager. He is responsible for estimating and managing his projects from the start-up to completion. He also handles the technology side of the business. In his free time, Harper enjoys music and rollerblading.

Seth Reeves

Estimator/Project Manager

Seth is a 2001 graduate from Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tennessee. He grew up swinging a hammer for Dale Reeves Construction, which was his dad’s business. Seth worked in youth/family ministry at his church for 5 years, then worked in sales at Mid-South Solutions for 13 years before starting at Wagner General in 2018 as an Estimator/Project Manager. Seth loves his wife, his child, and his Weimaraner and spends his free time daydreaming about duck hunting and mowing his yard.

Hannah Wagner

Business Developer

Hannah is a 2016 graduate of Harding University with an emphasis in Business Management. She also received her Master of Business Administration degree from Harding in 2017. She has worked at Wagner General since she was 13 and it was legal for her parents to put her to work. She started out assisting Lisa administratively, answering phones, filing invoices, and helping to organize the office. She moved to an executive assistant role and followed Allen around learning more about the estimating/project management side of the business. In 2017, she moved to Denver and worked for an automotive software company for two years. She rejoined the Wagner team in 2020 as the head of Human Resources and Business Development. In her free time, Hannah enjoys traveling, shopping, watching movies, and doing anything where people are involved.

Our Arkansas Team

Bo Hill

Searcy Office – Business Development

Bo is a graduate of Harding University in 1987 with a BBA in Marketing. Bo has twelve years of experience in construction business development, project management and operations. Self-employed for ten years with 25 employees in the restaurant industry. He is currently responsible for business development in our Central Arkansas office located in Searcy. He has a number of years of experience in building and developing relationships and provides excellent customer service to our clients.

Dakota Ellis

Searcy Office – Estimator/Project Manager

Dakota is a 2018 graduate of Harding University. He studied Bible and Missions and took all the classes necessary to attend medical school. During the application process, an opportunity arose to work for one of his best friend’s father’s company. After prayerful consideration, Dakota withdrew his aspirations for Medical school and dove head first into Wagner General. Dakota joined the team in Fall of 2018 as an Estimator/Project Manager and hasn’t looked back. He enjoys practicing the daily problem-solving skills necessary to thrive in the industry. Dakota is an avid reader finishing almost a book every week and enjoys travelling with his wife outdoors to hike and fish.

Josh Brandon

Estimator/Project Manager

At a young age, Josh knew he would take on the construction industry as he mastered his collection of Legos and Lincoln Logs. Deciding to take a victory half-lap before graduating from Harding University, Josh took a part-time job for Wagner General Contractors where he took on the role of Estimator/Project Manager. It took only 3 months for Josh to see that public accounting was not his chosen path and he decided to stay on at Wagner. He officially started at Wagner General in 2019. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and everything relating to the outdoors.

Michea Copus

Administrative Assistant

Michea is a 2005 graduate of a Health Records program at the Foothills Vocational School which is now referred to Arkansas State University-Searcy. She went on to an internship with this certification and enjoyed many years of experience in Health Care at multiple Health Care facilities. These duties included answering multi phone line systems, data entry, entering invoices, and lots of experience with Customer Service. In 2019, she decided to take a new role and become part of the Wagner team. Michea has been a member of the Searcy Community most of her life. She has enjoyed raising her two daughters in her hometown. In her spare time, Michea enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her two daughters.

Amanda Burnsed

Searcy Office Manager

Amanda has been a dedicated office manager for 20+ years. She handles a wide range of administrative tasks for the Searcy office and assist the estimators/project managers in all aspects of the bid process. She joined Wagner General Contractors in December 2018 as the Office Manager. She loves assisting people over the phone and/or greeting all visitors with a smile when they come by the office. Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband and their five kids and cheering on the Harding University band.

Kevin Decker

General Superintendent

Kevin graduated from Tulsa Technology Center in 2012 with an emphasis in Construction Technology. He went on to graduate from Harding University in 2016 with a BBA in Management. He ran his own construction business for a few years in Searcy, AR that provided residential remodeling and new construction services before joining the Wagner team in 2016. Kevin found his niche working in the field as a superintendent and is now the General Superintendent of the Arkansas office.
